Prepare for Carrie Underwoon Blown Away Album
If you look at the succession of Carrie Underwood's album artworks, from "Some Hearts" to "Carnival Ride" to "Play On," the country superstar seems to become more serious on each new cover, the warm smile of her debut quickly becoming a worried gaze. The artwork for "Blown Away," Underwood's forthcoming fourth album whose title and album cover were unveiled on Monday (Mar. 5), finds Underwood delivering her gravest expression yet, as she stands tall in a dark meadow and looks out into the blackened sky.
Produced by longtime collaborator Mark Bright, "Blown Away" is set to hit stores on May 1, and was previewed by the rollicking first single "Good Girl" last month. The track is already making waves on the Hot 100, where it debuted at No. 24 last week, and on the Hot Country Songs chart, where it started at No. 30.
Along with the single release, February saw the former "American Idol" champ joined Steven Tyler on CMT's "Crossroads" over Super Bowl weekend, as well as duet with Tony Bennett at the Grammy Awards. A performance at the CMA Music Festival, taking place June 7-10 in Nashville, is also on the horizon for Underwood
